When we leant we
had lost Ossian, the last thing on our minds was to have any sort of
public event. At that time it all felt intensely personal. Over the days
that have passed, we have been swept up by an enormous wave of support
from friends and colleagues. We have also felt Ossian's presence strongly
with us. We have now decided that it feels right to hold a sharing of what
his little life has meant to us and our wider community. Ossian means
'little deer', as reflected in the artwork on this page by Gehan, Tawny,
Iona and Oran Macleod. We have been very touched by some of the mythology
surrounding his name and we are delighted that we will be joined in this
celebration by the bard, Fionn
Tulach, who will deepen our experience in story and song. If you are
coming, please try and ensure you'll be there on time so that the
atmosphere that Fionn will help to create can be well
"gathered".
If you are feeling moved to bake or some nibles to share
at the end, please do so but please let
us know so that we can co-ordinate things a little bit. |
